The ground rules

Terms of Use

Last updated August 20, 2026

Your license to use the app currently called Crayonymous is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The terms on this page are separate and additional. They cover the service behind the app: what it does, what the subscription includes, and how the app may be used. By using Crayonymous you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Where the two overlap, Apple's agreement governs your license to the app itself and these terms govern the service we provide.

Who may use Crayonymous

You must be 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription or operate the app. Crayonymous is designed for a parent or other adult to operate with and for children; it is not an account-based service for children.

The service

Crayonymous turns a scene and locally stored Character Card traits into a printable coloring sheet using generative AI. AI output may be incomplete, unexpected, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review every sheet before sharing it with a child and use ordinary adult supervision.

We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every generation request will succeed.

Free allowance and Crayonymous Plus

The free allowance includes three successful sheets for the app's pseudonymous Apple app transaction identity. Crayonymous Plus includes up to 100 successful sheets during each verified paid subscription period. A request is reserved before generation, counts only after a successful response, and is returned to the allowance if the upstream generation fails. Reasonable short-term rate limits also apply.

Crayonymous Plus is a monthly auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple. Your App Store purchase screen displays the localized price and subscription duration before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through your App Store account settings. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refunds under its policies. Restoring access requires the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Acceptable use

You may not use Crayonymous to:

  • create unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or harmful material;
  • infringe privacy, publicity, copyright, or other rights;
  • probe, overload, bypass, or interfere with the service;
  • circumvent allowances, rate limits, or purchase checks; or
  • resell access to the app or operate it as a generation service.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or our legal obligations.

Your content and generated sheets

You keep any rights you have in the scene and traits you provide. You give us a limited permission to process that content only as needed to operate and protect the service. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use generated sheets for personal household purposes. You are responsible for having the rights needed for your inputs and for how you use the output.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what stays on your device, what the generation service processes, and how purchase and allowance records are handled.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crayonymous is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or uninterrupted operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Surettech and Jeff Surette will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability arising from Crayonymous will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid for Crayonymous during the 12 months before the claim or US $100. These limits do not apply where the law prohibits them.

Disputes and governing law

Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, email us and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. Any claim must be brought individually, not as part of a class or representative action, to the extent permitted by law. Courts located in Massachusetts will have exclusive jurisdiction unless local consumer law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the revised date here and give additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
